In the red corner: “Why can’t we get cope with any extreme weather conditions in the UK?”
In the green corner: “The snow conditions experienced in many parts of the UK in early February 2009 is a ‘one in 19 year occurance’ as such we are coping as well as can be expected.”
In credit crunch Britain there are many pressures facing business organisations and individuals, which, ultimately come down to this simple fact: independently and collectively we have to make choices; sometimes difficult ones, deciding what our priorities are and then which is most important.
With finite resources, budget or time, we can only achieve so much; as adults we have to decide both as individuals and collectively as a society. So all those who occupy the red corner, if you’d like a better resourced response to the snow conditions, where should the resource be switched from?
