Time to reflect

It’s ninety years since the end of the First World War. Only three veterans from that conflict are still alive and living in Great Britain. Without the selfless sacrifice of those involved, the world in which we live would be very different; we owe the people who paid the ultimate price a great deal.

Despite the terrible suffering of the wars and the lessons learned, we still seem unable to resolve our disagreements peacefully. What does this say about our so called ‘civilisation?’

At eleven o’clock on November the 11th join me in a moment of reflection, it’s a small gesture to demonstrate some respect to those who have gone before us.
