There is a debate raging in business school lecture theatres and boardrooms up and down the country; are entrepreneurs born or can are they created? Well, the debate will continue on for a lot longer I’m sure however a recent survey does appear to add weight to the theory that suggests entrepreneurs are born. I tend to agree with this perspective.
Over the years I’ve worked with a significant number of people, some were high flyers, the majority of whom were mediocre in their role and a large number of people who, quite frankly were out of their depth; on rare occasions someone stood out as being different.
Typically they exhibited behaviour that demonstrated a reluctance to accept the status quo and significantly, they were motivated enough to do something about it.
